Letter: First-class Service From My GP Practice And Hospital

I appreciate my recent experience of the NHS is better than some patients have had, but in view of all the negative reports of late, I would like to publicly say what fantastic service myself and another family member have received from the Guildown Group Practice and the Royal Surrey County Hospital.

The GP practice responded immediately to online requests regarding health concerns, telephone and face-to-face appointments were made resulting in hospital appointments.

The Royal Surrey staff were all excellent and in one instance results from tests done on Friday afternoon were with the GP on Monday morning.

Like most people I was alarmed at some of the media coverage about healthcare, but hope my experience will help reassure people that when the system works it is first class.
