Former Surrey Police Volunteer Charged with Perverting the Course of Justice

Laura Kilty, 20, from Guildford, has today been charged with one count of perverting the course of justice pertaining to a false sexual assault allegation made in September 2023.

Perverting the course of justice is an offence committed when a person prevents justice from being served on themselves or on another party.

Kilty, who previously volunteered for Surrey Police, will next appear at Guildford Magistrates Court on November 5.

This allegation is not connected to her time or role as a volunteer with Surrey Police.
