Surrey residents are being invited to attend a free community event aimed at promoting mental health awareness, recovery, and local support services.

RecoveryFest 2025, hosted by Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust’s Recovery College, will take place on Wednesday, August 6, from 1–4pm at Stoke Park, Guildford (off Nightingale Road, GU1 1ER).

The afternoon festival is designed to provide an inclusive, welcoming space for anyone looking to explore or improve their mental wellbeing — whether for themselves, a loved one, or simply to learn more about available local services.

Organisers promise a vibrant and informative atmosphere, with a wide range of stalls and representatives from NHS services and local charities. Attendees will have the chance to speak directly with professionals and recovery experts from organisations including Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS, Mary Frances Trust, Sport in Mind, Action for Carers, WithYou Talking Therapies, Youth Counselling Service, Catalyst, Citizens’ Advice, Surrey Minds, and more.

Rebecca Owen-Childs, Lead Recovery Coach at the Recovery College, said:

“RecoveryFest is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the support available in the community. It brings together individuals, families, services, and organisations that support mental wellbeing. The event will be an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone attending.”
Recovery College offers free adult courses across Surrey, equipping people with practical skills to help manage mental health challenges and build resilience. RecoveryFest is part of the College’s wider commitment to celebrating recovery in all its forms.

There is no need to book — members of the public are encouraged to simply turn up on the day. Light refreshments will be available, and the event will run rain or shine.
