The concert was held on Sunday, December 6, at the Park Barn Centre and a full house ensured £620 was raised.

The Mayor of Guildford, Nikki Nelson-Smith and her husband attended along with Guildford MP Anne Milton.

The chairman of the Guildford and Godalming branch of the BHF, Shirley West, sends a big thank you to the band, led by Chris King, and to all who attended and also to those who donated prizes for the raffle.

Shirley has been organising this fund-raising concert of Christmas music for several years and tells The Guildford Dragon NEWS this will be the last one she will be at the helm of.

Anne Milton said: “The Friary Guildford Band are wonderful. We had a fantastic afternoon concert and as always the band surpassed all our expectations. They are simply the best!”
