Fundraisers from the Guildford area are ready to play their part for the British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) big event on Friday, February 7.
Ramp up the Red fundraising events will be taking place across the UK, while locally at the Spectrum leisure centre in Guildford there will be a large keep fit day.
A big afternoon with tea and cakes, fun and games at which everyone has to wear red is being hosted by Jill Bird.
Staff at Semafore in Walnut Tree Close, that operates in the business of phone call centres, has organised a number of activities. There will be a company donation to BHF for every person who wears red on the day, a bring and buy on red theme, a table soccer team competition with friends and family being asked to sponsor goals, a ‘heart art’ competition for children with paintings being displayed in the office, and a treasure hunt finale – a Guildford-based hunt ending with a drink on the CEO in a pub as a reward to his team for taking part.
For more details call the chairman of the Guildford and Godalming branch of the BHF, Shirley West, on 01483 563071.
