Glorious Display Of Poppies In A Field Near Guildford

Britain’s wild flowers are looking stunning this summer – in the hedgerows, along roadsides and in the meadows.

Poppies in the field near Send. Guildford town and the North Downs can be seen in the distance. All pictures by Sam Foreman.

These poppies are blooming beautifully in a field close to the A3 near Burnt Common at Send.

The photos were taken looking across the field by Sam Foreman of Wood Street Village.

There is a public footpath near the field from where the poppies can be viewed.

You can just see Guildford Cathedral in the distance in this view.

The area also has a number of nesting birds, so anyone walking the path is advised to take care.
