Occupants of a black Land Rover Discovery were arrested yesterday (June 12, 2017) and taken away by Metropolitan police officers after the vehicle collided with a roundabout in Bellfields.

The vehicle, which is believed to have been stolen, bearing false number plates, was apprehended in Parkway, by the Premier Inn.

The occupants ran from the vehicle but were apprehended. A police helicopter was observed above the scene.

A police spokesperson said: “There was a damage only collision in Parkway, Guildford at 7.10pm, June 12 [2017]. The reports were of a black Land Rover Discovery with front end damage.

“Four or five people made off from vehicle and disappeared in the grounds of the Premier Inn. The vehicle is believed to have been stolen from the London area.

“The Met Police were made aware and a number of those involved were detained and collected by Met officers. The only part we dealt with was the collision which turned out to have been with a roundabout in Bellfields. This was damage only, no injuries.”
