Rt Hon Anne Milton MP

Guildford’s MP Anne Milton was one those caught up in today’s (March 22, 2017) incident at Westminster which police are assuming was terrorist inspired.

Ms Milton, the government’s deputy chief whip, is normally in the House of Commons for Prime Minister’s Question Time, which took place today as usual at 12 noon, and ended just over two hours before the attack.

She told The Guildford Dragon NEWS: “The police and security staff were brilliant. We were locked down for about five hours and they were fantastic with everyone.”

I was scanning TV footage for a reassuring glimpse of Anne Milton too. Good to know she is safe. Thanks to all our MPs and councillors who stick their heads above the parapet.
