Guildford MP Anne Milton, has reported overwhelming praise, given by her constituents, for the Royal Surrey County Hospital during a recent informal drop-in surgery at Tesco in Egerton Road next to the hospital.
In a press release, Ms Milton said: “I tend to hear from people when things go wrong and they need some help, but at my recent drop in surgery I was very struck by the number of people who took the time to praise the Royal Surrey.
“From the speed of appointments to the care people had received when being treated for cancer, to the prompt attention in A&E, the comments about the kindness and consideration from staff was very striking. It’s great to have a chance to celebrate the positive!
“People were busy shopping but it was so good that they stopped to make sure I knew how impressed they are with the care they get.
“We are very fortunate to have such a good hospital in our area – efficient and with wonderful staff – and I have made sure that the comments I heard are shared with the team at the Royal Surrey.”
Anne Milton holds regular advice surgeries across Guildford, Cranleigh and local villages. She can be contacted at: anne.milton.mp@parliament.uk or telephone: 0207 219 8392.

Great to have good news. I once did patient satisfaction surveys at the RSCH and the overwhelming responses were positive. My own treatment on many occasions has been faultless.
I get thoroughly fed up hearing nothing but criticism of the NHS, of course, there is plenty to criticise but in Britain, we have some of the highest survival rates in the world at least cost – the USA has lowest in the developed world at highest cost.
Three useful tips for survival and a better life:
1 Sleep 7-8 hours a day and read Why We Sleep by Matthew Walker – a splendid account of how our brains work at night and keep us healthier.
2 Read Matt Ridley “The Rational Optimist” and stop worrying about disasters such as global warming, Brexit and famines.
3 Cut down on depressing news watching all so depressing So cheer up and read The Guildford Dragon NEWS and its many admirable cheerful features like this one.
