Guildford RNLI Branch Calls For Extra Volunteer Help

The Guildford branch of the RNLI is one of the 1,300 fundraising branches throughout the country. Its objective is to generate money for the RNLI, but is currently in need of extra volunteers to carry on its good work.

Importantly, the branch is in need of additional committee members. Currently, it only has five members and in particular it is looking for a chairman and a secretary.

Experienced retired persons with good people skills, computer literacy (must have an email at least!) are the main requirements along with enthusiasm and some spare time, of course.

The branch says: “Recruitment is the priority throughout the South West Surrey Group of branches as without the resources none of the branches can increase the amount of money they raise for the RNLI.

“Any help would be appreciated and if you have experience in asking the public for donations at our collection days or perhaps organising our local events then that would be superb.

“These include bridge lunches and teas, jazz evenings, street  collections on Guildford High Street along with the British Sub Aqua Club.

“Please contact Anne Langridge on 01483 825949 or use the joining form of our website to find out more about ways you can help.

“If we had just a handful more of volunteers for our collections it would help share this activity between us and we could potentially raise a lot more money for the RNLI!”

The Guildford branch of the RNLI is looking for more volunteers to help with its fundraising and to keep the branch running.
