Investigation of Alleged Serious Sexual Assault Continues

Surrey Police is continuing to appeal for witnesses following an allegation of a serious sexual assault in the Guildford area on New Year’s Day.

The incident is alleged to have taken place sometime between 9-30 and 10pm in the park on Park Barn Drive, close to the junction with Clover Road.

Officers have carried out a number of enquiries and would like to speak to a dog walker who is believed to have walked past the park while the incident was taking place.

Detective Inspector Gareth Hicks, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are continuing to investigate this allegation and have now identified a possible witness out dog walking in the area at the time.
