In response to: Ash Seeks to Protect Green Spaces with Its Own Neighbourhood Plan

It is excellent that Ash Parish Council has finally grasped the nettle and decided to prepare a neighbourhood plan, but a great shame the council was not in a fit state in 2011 to take on this near four-year-task.

I’d recommend that they read the Burpham Neighbourhood Plan, the first in Guildford. It has stood the test of time and the serious and rigorous testing of the Bristol planning inspectors.

Nine years has proved its worth and constrained the excesses of developers.
