I am trying to find a gentleman I last contacted a few years ago via Ancestry UK. His name is Robin D Cripp, and I believe he resides or resided in the Guildford area, postcode GU5 [see below].
I hope he is still around. I do not wish to cause any upset. His wife’s name was Cheryl.
The reason I would like to find him is because, amongst my late grandfather’s medals from WWI, I have discovered one which belongs to Robin’s grandfather, known as ‘Billy’ Cripp.
We are related, as my grandmother Kate married Billy, having previously been widowed. I would like to return this medal to the Cripp family, but have had no luck contacting Robin again, as he has not logged-into Ancestry for over a year, which suggests he may no longer be a member.
I know this is a long-shot, but maybe someone can help.
Editor’s note: The Guildford Dragon will forward any responses to Janet Stevens.
The GU5 postcode covers the area to the South East of Guildford including Bramley, Smaley Green, Albury, Peasmarsh and Shere.

Editor’s comment: We received several responses from readers indicating the likely postal address of Robin Cripp and this information was given to Janet Stevens who wrote:
That is splendid! I feel sure that is the gentleman I am seeking, so will write to him at that address, and hope I will soon be able to reunite him with Billy’s medal.
Please accept my grateful thanks, and pass the same onto your readers for their kind assistance.
