In response to: Our Local Plan Review Is Bound By Government Rules

Jan Harwood is spectacularly misinformed on the Greenbelt issue. It is indisputable that the NPPF allows green belt status to be restored to areas taken out. He could only make such a claim if he has not read the NPPF [National Planning Policy Framework] in its entirety.

Given this was a headline opinion piece, he should offer a correction.

This is important, as the council starts its review. It should not start, under a false premise, propagated by a leading councillor. Residents demand an honest review.
