In response to: County Council Climbs Down Over London Road Works – Further ‘Engagement’ Period Announced

This is a great bit of news for residents of Burpham and neighbouring areas.

While still appalled at the arrogance shown by SCC, I am delighted to learn that sense has prevailed, at least for a period.

Let’s hope that the consultation and communication will be much more honest, open and in 2023 than it has been so far.

I am sure that there will be many, many willing participants in trying to find a scheme which improves road safety without damaging local businesses and making life a misery for thousands of people.
