In response to: I Will Never Vote Tory Again Because of the Local Plan

R4GV [Residents for Guildford & Villages], together with council officers, has already started reviewing the evidence bases for the current Local Plan.

This is with a view to accelerating the process to an official update to go before the Planning Inspectorate as soon as there is confidence that this will not lead to an increase in the housing numbers, as currently required by the government’s “Standard Method”.

This method remains in place, despite government noises about protecting the green belt and the ONS’s [Office of National Statistics] recognition that previous predictions for Guildford’s population were inaccurate.

I trust this reflects the 80,000 comments from the community and not the great reset of the World Economic Forum. We don’t need their nonsense here.
