In response to: I Was Not At the Conservative Selection Meeting

I am very pleased to hear that Cllr Spooner was visiting his parents and was not at the Holy Trinity Conservative party selection meeting. But I never said he was. I asked him who, if anyone, from the GBC Executive was present.

Since he refuses to answer I have investigated and been told that Cllrs Furniss and Ellwood, both GBC Executive members, were there.

Cllr Christiansen has been a popular and conscientious councillor and has stood up for ward interests.

I note that he had ambitions to serve his party and actually stood as a candidate for the position of deputy leader of the Conservative group at GBC. But he is now deselected. Why?
