In response to a comment made under the letter: New Crossing Would Help Deliver Modal Shift

In his response to my comments, John Rigg [of the Guildford Vision Group (GVG)] had asked me what reaction did I receive from the councils about my various ideas. The answer is none.

I have not written directly to the councils. I sent my comments on the Local Plan and had drawn their attention to my website that describes my ideas such as making the town centre pedestrian friendly, relocating the bus station, redesigning the bus routes to connect both the railway station and the town centre and the widening of the A3, providing access to Onslow Park and Ride from the A3 etc.

The website has been developed over the past ten years. It is quite extensive and therefore it is not easy to explain all the ideas and associated sketches covered by it, within the scope of comments for the local Plan.

On many occasions using letters and comments, I have expressed my views and ideas here in The Guildford Dragon News and The Surrey Advertiser. I hope the councils have read at least some of them but they have chosen to not comment or engage in a dialogue with me.
