Letter: Long Live The Guildford Dragon

TGDN DragonFrom Sally Parrot

At the risk of becoming boring, I must repeat previous praise: I find The Guildford Dragon NEWS a fantastic source of up-to-date news and opinion, especially currently on Guildford Borough Council and Monika Juneja.

I enjoy and admire the Surrey Advertiser, but a weekly local newspaper cannot possibly keep up with the speed and number of items, letters and subsequent comments we can read here.

It is so useful to get up to the minute articles and comments, such as Adrian Atkinson’s link to the council meeting where Cllr Parker ‘proposed changes to the Council’s governance arrangements’ – well worth viewing in my opinion.

I hope some local person will write a novel based on this story.

Thank you so much, Martin Giles and David Rose.

Long live The Dragon. We need you.

Hear Hear. The Dragon is an instrument for democracy during dark times for our borough.

I would like to add that The Guildford Dragon News is the best media for not only Guildford residents but also for all those who have moved out of the area, to keep up to date with all local news etc.

It reports as the news happens, in a form that is free, so we don’t haveto wait for the weekly Advertiser newspaper, which now costs 95p. Also everyone is welcome to give their views and comments at any item.

I am still finding so many people who have never heard of The Dragon News but once they see the online newspaper they say they will look at it from now on.

Thank you Martin Giles and David Rose for The Dragon News. I cannot imagine what we would do without it now.
