In response to: SCC Leader Pledges Autumn Review Amid Rows Over Country Parking Charges

The sooner SCC scrap these outrageous charges across the county, the better. No tinkering with the scheme – full cancellation.

Local residents and users have led a fantastic campaign against this and our open spaces should never be a cash-cow for any council.

Cllr Tim Oliver [SCC council leader] can then focus on lobbying his colleagues in Westminster to reinstate grant funding to local authorities, funding that has been obliterated since 2010 and has led directly to pernicious policies such as this.
