As a member of Guildford’s Local Plan Panel I have been involved with briefings and workshops to get us to this stage and I am very pleased to see this progressing to ensure we get the right housing built in the right locations with much needed local infrastructure delivered first – this has always been promised but rarely delivered.

GBC’s new approach to being more consultative and willing to listen is refreshing, but, at the end of the day, we are still under the Government’s thumb to deliver excessive housing targets.

I sincerely hope those involved will read the Community Planning Alliance report “How to stop Government harming nature (but still solve the housing crisis).

It’s time to fight back!
