In response to: Guildford Mourns Gordon Bridger, the Former Mayor Who Loved His Town

We are deeply saddened to learn of Gordon’s passing, which we only heard about today.

What an amazing and remarkable gentleman he was … always took the time to stop and chat to me, and I take pride that he would always speak fondly of my song for Guildford.

Our deep condolences to Jean and his family. I will so miss him and our frequent chats in the High Street, as well as his impressive “stoic” march in civic processions after attending Holy Trinity church annual Remembrance Sunday services.

Yes please, I agree with others who have said we should have a significant street or building in Guildford renamed after this kind and wonderful man.
