What has happened to the Borough Council Art Collection which was removed from Guildford House Gallery when the Tourist Information Centre moved in?
I understand it was then put by the council into deep storage at Slyfield but has yet to re-emerge. Others may have more up to date information and be able to confirm no single picture has been sold?

I was told when The Friary was planned it was agreed to incorporate in it an art gallery.
However, later it was deemed impossible to proceed with this plan and so a sum of money was made available to provide such a facility on another suitable borough site.
No doubt this has been lost in the mists of time.
