Macmillan Afternoon Raises £800 And Thanks Its Supporters

Freeman of Guildford Bill Bellerby was cheered as he entered a Macmillan cancer support fundraising afternoon at Guildford’s Holiday Inn on Friday afternoon (September 18).

The organisers of the event, which raised £800, thank the Deputy Mayor of Guildford, Gordon Jackson, and his wife Sue, the Deputy Mayoress, for their support in attending the afternoon.

They also send a big thank you to the Holiday Inn for hosting it and to Guildford’s Tesco store for donating “all the lovely cakes”.

A special presentation was made to Sue Keeley who has recently stepped down as Guildford Tesco store’s community champion, for her work in supporting, helping and encouraging many groups and organisations in the local area.
