Man Appears in Court Over Attempted Sexual Assault

A man has appeared in court after being charged following an attempted sexual assault in Guildford in February 2018.

Mongi Khathi, 21 of County Road, Maidstone, Kent, has been charged with assault with the intent to commit a relevant sexual offence, following the incident, which took place in the underpass by Egerton Road, near Manor Park on February 9 2018.

He pleaded not guilty when he appeared at Guildford Magistrates’ Court yesterday (June 12), and was remanded into custody. He will next appear at Guildford Crown Court on July 11.
