Man Arrested In Connection With Bank Robbery In Merrow

A man has been arrested in connection with a bank robbery in Merrow and another in Reigate.

logo-surrey-police-darkBGThe two incidents occurred at two branches of Lloyds Bank in High Street, Reigate, at 4.43pm last Friday, May 29, and in Epsom Road, Merrow, on Tuesday, June 2, at 12.30pm.

A small quantity of cash was taken at the Reigate incident but none taken in Guildford. No one was hurt in either incident.

Police officers would like to hear from anyone who saw anything in relation to either incident.

The man who has has been arrested on suspicion of armed robbery is currently in custody. He is aged 40 and from the Reigate area.
