Man Arrested On Suspicion of Rape

Police tape in place on the pavement outside the Friary Centre, almost opposite Wetherspoons.

Police were called to Onslow Street in Guildford just after midnight on Wednesday morning following a report of what they called a “concern for safety” at the location.

A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of rape and taken into police custody.

Later that day a crime scene cordon was in place while police carried out enquiries.

More information has been requested from Surrey Police.
