Man Arrested On Suspicion of Attempted Rape Following Assault

A man has been arrested after a woman was assaulted in Guildford in the early hours yesterday (February 9, 2018).

The 20-year-old man, who is from Guildford, was arrested earlier today  on suspicion of attempted rape and is currently in custody.

The woman was walking home from Guildford town centre around 2.45am when the incident occurred by the underpass that runs alonside the Egerton Road as it passes under the A3.
