Man Charged Following Assault in Guildford Town Centre

A 23-year-old man from Guildford has been charged as part of our enquiries following a serious assault in the early hours of Saturday, 12 October on Park Street outside Guildford Charcoal Grill.

The victim was taken to hospital and remains there with serious injuries.

Barney Thomas Christopher Coyle, 23 of Frog Grove Lane, Guildford was arrested and appeared at Staines Magistrates Court today (Monday, 14 October) charged with grievous bodily harm. He has been remanded into custody.

Surrey Police earlier appealed for witnesses to the incident.
