Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses after a man was found unconscious in Bridge Street, Guildford, in the early hours of Sunday.

The man was found with head injuries at 12.32am on Sunday and was taken to a hospital.

A police spokesperson said: “Officers are seeking to establish the exact circumstances of the incident and to identify a man who was seen in the area at the time.”

The man is described as: white, approximately 6ft tall, 19-20 years old, clean shaven with short light brown hair. He was wearing: a long-sleeved white top, dark jeans and white trainers.

Detective Constable Richard Pegden, who is investigating the case, said: “I am urging anybody who witnessed anything suspicious last Sunday morning, in the Bridge Street area, to contact the police and help us piece together what happened.

“The area was heavily populated with club goers and people heading back towards the train station, so I am confident that several people would have seen the incident itself or the build up to it.

“The traffic in Bridge Street was impacted at the time too, so I am also asking motorists whether they witnessed any assault.”

No arrests have yet been made.

If you witnessed the incident or know who this man could be please get in contact with Surrey Police by calling 101 quoting PR/45180013021 or report it online at https://report.police.uk/.
