Man Left With Broken Nose Following Unprovoked Attack

A man was left with a broken nose after he was punched in the face in Guildford town centre in the early hours of Sunday (February 5).

Surrey Police is appealing for information following the unprovoked assault which took place between 2.10 and 2.20am near the Wagamama restaurant off the High Street.

The man who was attacked had been on a night out in Guildford and was on his way to get a taxi with his friends when he walked past a group of four men. One of the men made a comment towards the victim before assaulting him.

The victim was taken to the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford where he received treatment for a broken nose and swelling to his face.

The suspect is described as white, aged in his early to mid 20s, with short blonde hair. He was wearing a jacket but the colour is not known.

A police spokesperson said: “An investigation is underway and enquiries remain ongoing.
