It’s nearly show time for Merrow Dramatic Society (MDS) who are performing Alan Ayckbourn’s Family Circles at The Electric Theatre May 15-18.

This rarely performed comedy is as hilarious as any of his more famous titles as it deals with Ayckbourn’s pet subject of relationships.

“We all marry the wrong people” states Edward and certainly his daughters’ relationships give that impression. But what of Edward’s marriage to Emma? Are they really trying to kill each other as their daughters suspect?

Join the dramatic society for an evening of witty observations, family intrigue and hilarious plot twists. Director Jenny Pegman is really excited about this show as she says: “We have a cast of established and new members who’ve been working really well together. Rehearsals have been great fun and we can’t wait to get the show onto the stage”.

As one of the oldest established drama groups in Guildford with roots reaching back to the 1920s MDS are proud to perform regularly at The Electric Theatre as well as staging their annual pantomime at Merrow village hall.

Last year saw them perform Terry Pratchett’s Mort and Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales whilst 2013 kicked off with family favourite Cinderella.

The cast are ready, the crew are prepared, so all MDS need now are an appreciative audience! Running Wednesday 15 to Saturday 18 May at The Electric Theatre tickets are £11.50 Full Price with Concessions priced at £10.50.
