Surrey Police is still appealing for help to identify a woman they want to speak to in connection with an investigation into attempted shoplifting and assault at a Tesco Express store in Milford.
At around 1.45pm on 10 December 2021, a woman entered the shop and proceeded to fill a shopping trolley full of items. She then walked towards the exit without paying but was intercepted by staff, one of whom was grabbed by the arm and pushed.
Once outside the store, the woman was reported to have coughed and spat towards staff before leaving in a blue Vauxhall Astra being driven by a man.
Similar incidents have occurred at other stores around Bramley and Guildford.
The woman is described as white, aged in her 50s-60s and around 5ft 3. She had black hair and was wearing a pink jumper with a scarf wrapped around her face, black shoes and dark-coloured jogging bottoms.
A police spokesperson said: “If you recognise this woman or have any information, please contact us quoting PR/45210130493 via:
“If you do not wish to leave your name, please call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
