Motor Cyclist Dies In Gomshall Collision

A motor cyclist died this afternoon in Gomshall.

The incident took place on the A25 Shere Road at the junction with Gomshall Lane at around 4.25pm today (March 24) when a motorcycle collided with a blue Peugeot 206 and a red Volkswagen Polo. The male motorcyclist died at the scene.

No other injuries have been reported. Paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service and the HEMS air ambulance were also in attendance.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area while a number of road closures were put in place in the vicinity of the A25 Shere Road; at the junctions of Gomshall Lane, Upper Street, Queen Street, Sherborne Road and the junction Felday Road.

Diversions were set up and were expected to remain in place for a number of hours whilst are emergency service are in attendance and specialist collision investigators are examining the scene.
