Motor Cyclist Dies Three Weeks After Collision – Police Still Seeking Witnesses

A 55-year-old man who sustained serious injuries in a road collision in Send three weeks ago has died.

The incident occured in Send Barns Lane at around 7.35pm on May 10 (2017). It was reported that there had been a collision between a black Honda Civic and a motorbike near the junction with Kevan Drive.

The motorcyclist was taken to hospital in London by air ambulance with head and leg injuries. He died in hospital on Thursday, June 1.

Sergeant Jamie Dann from Surrey Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “I am urging anybody who witnessed the collision or witnessed the manner of driving of either vehicle prior to the collision to call us as soon as possible.

“We are particularly keen to hear from the driver of a car behind the Honda who would have witnessed what happened but didn’t stop at the scene.

“Our thoughts are with the family of the motorcyclist at this difficult time.”

Surrey Police is urging anybody who witnessed the collision or the manner of driving of each vehicle prior to the collision to call Surrey Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01483 639922 quoting, P17112274.
