Motorcyclist Declared Dead at the Scene in Newlands Corner Collision

A motorcyclist was killed today (May 7 2017) in a fatal collision on the A25 Shere Road between Newlands Corner and Silent Pool.

Police were called just after 4pm following a collision between a Black Yamaha motorcycle and a Blue Toyota Estima car.

The motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

Anyone who saw the collision, or the manner of driving of either of the vehicles involved prior to the collision, or who may have dashcam footage of the A25 around the time of the incident, is asked to call Surrey Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01483 639922 quoting reference p17109302.

The road between Newlands Corner and Silent Pool remained closed at 8pm this evening while collision investigation officers gathered evidence, and remove the vehicles.
