New Surrey dance group, Quicksilver, for people aged from 40 and over, is making progress.

In the twinkling of a ballet shoe, it  has acquired a team of enthusiastic dancers together with an equally enthusiastic group of friends.

Screen shot 2014-06-14 at 10.11.01In the time it takes to turn a couple of pirouettes Quicksilver has been booked for its first performances.

On July 5 at 11.45 am the company will perform at G Live in Guildford as part of Dance Fest. The audience will be treated to two pieces. One is described by the director/choreographer as “gently jazzy”  and the second will have a distinctive Spanish flavour.

On the following day Quicksilver will be pointing their toes at the Haslemere Music Festival Fringe between 1.30pm and 2pm and hosting a workshop between 3pm and 4pm.  And there are more dates in the pipeline.

Between rehearsals Quicksilver has begun to create its own website.
