The Guildford Lions club is holding a free PSA blood test for prostate cancer clinic, offering men the opportunity to be tested for prostate cancer.
Following the success of last year’s clinic, the Lions, working in conjunction with the Prostate Project, want to encourage men over the age of 50 to attend.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK and about one in eight men will get it at some point in their lives.
The free walk-in clinic will be held at the Samson Centre, Riverside, Bellfields, in Guildford on Saturday, April 28 between 1pm and 5.30pm.
The PSA test is a blood test and only takes a few minutes. It measures the amount of prostate specific antigen (PSA) in the blood. The results will be checked by the Royal Surrey Hospital and forwarded to your GP.
