Notice: Christmas At St Augustine’s Abbey Chilworth

Members of the monastic community at St Augustine’s Abbey, Chilworth,

Everyone is welcome to join the Benedictine monks at Chilworth’s St Augustine’s Abbey for the following Christmas services:

• Advent Carol Service at 3pm on Sunday, December 19. Members of the public of all faiths – and none – are welcome. Mince pies and mulled wine will be available afterwards.
• Christmas Roman Catholic Mass on Friday, December 24 for 11.30pm carols and 12am Midnight Mass of the Nativity.
• Saturday, December 25 – 10.00am Christmas Day Mass
• Sunday, December 26 – 10.00am Mass
• Monday, December 27 – 9.00am Mass
• Tuesday, December 28 – 9.00am Mass

There is no need to book.

The Abbey also has an online shop for Christmas gifts, many of which are ‘monk-made’, including Chilworth rosary beads and beeswax skin cream, lip balm and furniture polish.

The Abbey is in Sample Oak Lane, Chilworth, GU4 8QR, a short walk away from Chilworth Railway Station. Pilgrims from The Pilgrims’ Way are very welcome.
