Wednesday, October 8, 5.30pm to 6.45pm on Zoom.
Discover Surrey’s psychiatric hospital archives, with powerful patient portraits and case notes that reveal personal stories, changing treatments, and the social history of mental health over more than a century.

Conservation of Archives
Saturday, October 11, 10.30am to 3.30pm.
Join the Surrey Local History Committee for a programme on archive conservation, featuring talks on preservation, digital-age collecting, behind-the-scenes tours of Surrey History Centre, and an exhibition on conserved archives.
Tickets: £15.
This Side of the Looking Glass: Archives from the Real Life of Lewis Carroll
Wednesday, October 15, 5.30pm to 6.45pm on Zoom.
Celebrate 160 years of Alice with Surrey History Centre’s growing Lewis Carroll collections, including newly received Dodgson family items, in a display and virtual curator’s tour.
Tickets: £6.
Alice in Wonderland – Free Drop-in Family Activities
Tuesday to Thursday, October 28 to 30, during normal opening hours at Surrey History Centre.
Activities are for ages three years to 12, with parents / guardians supervising.
Celebrate 160 years of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and create a mask, top hat, card soldier and more all perfect for a Mad Hatter’s tea party.
Free parking, buggy-friendly access and baby changing rooms available.
Donations welcome.
