Fairlands Art Group is holding an exhibition at Fairlands Community Centre on Saturday, October 15 from 1pm until 5pm.

This is their first exhibition since the Covid pandemic. Formerly, an exhibition was held in May each year and was well supported by the local community said group member Val Dillon.

Members paint in a variety of media including oil, acrylic and watercolour.

Val said: “The group has been in existence for over 50 years. At one time Ron McGill was the tutor but, for some years now, we have painted together and supported and advised each other. There is a lot of expertise amongst the members.

“We meet every Tuesday from 11am until 1pm in the Community Centre Hall. New members are always welcome and anyone who might be interested should pop in to meet us.”

Fairlands and Woodstreet Village Art societies are holding an exhibition at the Fairlands Coronation Picinic on Monday, May 8. Please do come along to see the stunning pictures they have created, and to enjoy the stalls and attractions in the field.

Proceeds go to the running of the Fairlands, Liddington Hall and Gravetts lane Association.
