Surrey Drug and Alcohol Care operates a 24 hours a day, 365 days a year helpline and receives calls from Surrey residents struggling with or affected by substance misuse or mental health.

Its helpline is manned by volunteers who work from home once trained and are required to take one five-hour shift a fortnight.

Free training for new volunteers will take place in person in Guildford from 9.30am to 3.15pm on September 10, 17 and 24, and October 22.
