Do you know how to perform CPR or how to use a public defibrillator?
A member of the Guildford branch of St John Ambulance will run a series of fundraising evenings in village halls in Guildford and surrounding villages where CPR, choking and how to use a defibrillator will all be covered.
The ‘Choking Charlie Fundraising Evenings’ will raise money for the Guildford unit to purchase a “Choking Charlie” mannequin – an adult torso designed for training students in the performance of the Heimlich Abdominal Thrust Manoeuvre.
The doll, which retails at £476, will be used to train St John members and the public.
The first session will be held in Shere Village Hall from 7pm to 9.30pm on Friday, October 19 for a minimum donation of £5 per person.
Refreshments will be provided.
