Guildford’s Legal Walk returns in Spring 2022, uniting the community for access to justice.

Lawyers and their colleagues from across Surrey will be returning on Monday, May 9, for the Guildford Legal Walk, supporting the vital work of frontline free legal advice charities in Surrey.

Last year’s walkers raised a record £16,000 and this year they are looking to break more records.

Taking place in the Surrey countryside, the walk will stretch across a 10km route.

Taking place in the Surrey countryside, the walk will commence at 5:30pm from Guildford County Court and stretch across a 10km route.

Law firms, barristers’ chambers, legal advice agencies, courts, law schools and those associated with the law industry will be led by Surrey’s judges.

Anyone can join the teams, or walk on their own. The walk is open to anyone who wants to support free legal advice in Surrey.

Judge Alison Raeside from Guildford County Court says, “The Guildford Legal Walk supports Surrey’s free legal advice services. This support is vital at a time when many of our local services are still under pressure due to Covid 19.

“Funds raised by the walk change real lives by allowing advice centres to support people who are facing homelessness, discrimination, wrongly denied benefit claims and asylum issues and who can’t afford to pay for a lawyer”.

There’s still time to sign up.
