A Royal Marines Band concert, commemorating the end of the First World War, is to be held in Guildford at 7.30pm on Saturday, December 1.

The Seafarers UK charity comes to the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre for the first time with the Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines Portsmouth.

The audience will experience an exciting musical and military spectacle, including traditional, classical, big band sound and vocals.

All proceeds from the concert will go to Seafarers UK, a charity raising funds to support men and women who have served in the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Merchant Navy and Britain’s Fishing Fleets.

Last year, Seafarers UK gave grants totalling £3 million to more than 70 maritime charities and organisations across the UK. It was formed during World War One as King George’s Fund for Sailors and recently celebrated its centenary. Visit www.seafarers.uk for more information.

Tickets cost £25 in the stalls and £23 in the circle and are available from the theatre box office on 01483 440000, or online at https://www.yvonne-arnaud.co.uk/production/seafarers-uk-royal-marines-band-concert.
