On Saturday, July 28, Emcee Jake Hellier and the Royal Surrey Choir will return to the stage for their 2018 Summer Charity Concert ‘Proud Mary: A Celebration of Women in Song’.
Taking place at Holy Trinity Church in Guildford, the event will raise funds for The Fountain Centre, Surrey’s leading charitable organisation providing advice, on-going support, community and complimentary therapies to individuals and families of those whose lives have been affected by cancer.
Accompanied by Musical Director Matt Randall and his live band, the choir will host an evening commemorating the centenary of votes for women in the United Kingdom and celebrating the sacrifices and triumphs of the Suffragette Movement with a selection of anthems from the world of musical theatre and film, and timeless classics from the great women of music who paved the way.
Featuring performances from Olivier Award nominee Rosemary Ashe, renowned West End vocalists Jamie Birkett, and Ms Johnnie Fiori the event promises to be a night to remember.
Local businesses have contributed a selection of raffle prizes. All proceeds, along with all vocalist, band and crew fees will be donated in their entirety to The Fountain Centre.
The show will begin at 7pm and tickets cost £20.00 and are available to buy online at www.thelittleboxoffice.com/fountaincentre.
