Notice: St Catherine’s Past and Present

An exhibition to celebrate ‘St Catherine’s Past and Present’ will be held in St Catherine’s Village Hall between Thursday May 17 and Saturday May 19.

The ‘once in six years’ display of the village’s history and community will be officially opened by the Mayor and Mayoress of Guildford.

The exhibition will include paintings by St Nicolas School pupils, celebrating the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on May 19.

There will be free talks on matters of local interest. Guildford’s Honorary Remembrancer, Matthew Alexander, will talk about St Catherine’s Hill Fair, Derek Carley, winner of the renovation category of the Guildford Design Awards will talk about the Design Awards and David Bird will give a talk on recent research into Guildown Saxon cemetery.
