Surrey Police Specialist Neighbourhood Teams are getting ready to host their first Guildford Borough “Intensification Day” next Thursday, January 27 from 10am to 4pm.

This day will focus on the community’s top crime and anti-social behaviour (ASB) concerns taken from surveys with those living in Guildford.

Surrey Police will be based at four locations across the town, providing residents with in-person advice and guidance around their top crime concern, cybercrime, as well as providing general crime prevention information.

All four locations will be staffed with a variety of police officers, volunteers, and staff as well as colleagues from partner organisations.

The confirmed locations are:

  • Sainsburys Burpham
  • Tesco, Egerton Road
  • Rotunda / Stone Circle, the bottom of North Street
  • University of Surrey

Additional intensification activity during this day will be taking place to tackle drugs, the second-highest crime community concern and speeding which is the anti-social behaviour (ASB) most residents are worried about.

Guildford Borough Commander Alick James said: “We are looking forward to our first intensification day in Guilford to focus on the priorities for local residents. It is essential that we respond to the concerns of the community and I hope to see many people engaging with their local team on the day.”
