The Big Matrix Christmas Quiz is back! On Saturday, December 5get together with your family and friends (within guidelines) and get involved in its virtual quiz!

The Matrix Trust says: “We will be hosting some fun rounds, a few games, a raffle, and you’ll be in with a chance to win some great prizes!

“It’s a chance to test your knowledge, whilst raising money for projects run by Matrix, supporting at-risk young people across Guildford.

“This year, the entry fee is only £10 per team as it will all be virtual. All the funds raised go to support Matrix Youth Work in schools and the community.

“When you sign up you also have the opportunity to enter into our exciting raffle – many prizes to be won!

“To take part you’ll just need to register your team by following our sign-up link. All details will also be on our Facebook Event Page (The Matrix Trust).

“The Matrix Trust is dedicated to working with at-risk and disadvantaged young people, helping them to improve their lives by nurturing, inspiring, connecting and empowering them to reach their full potential.

“When Covid-19 occurred, Matrix quickly responded and adapted to provide a robust, safe online service, which one Year 9 told us it gave him space to ‘express my feelings to someone whilst stuck at home and couldn’t get out to talk to anyone’.

“We are now able to offer both face-to-face and online support for those with mild to moderate mental health or emotional well-being needs. This year we will also be launching a Social Enterprise Community Cafe in the heart of Guildford, with a daily Youth Drop-In (co-led by young people) each afternoon.

“Matrix relies on generous donations from individuals and communities to enable us to continue helping young people. Follow our sign up link to get involved!

“Hope to see you all there in your best Christmas clobber!”

Each team can be up to six people.

Option 1: If possible, get together safely (according to the latest government guidelines) in one household and join through one Zoom window.

Option 2: If your team is split into separate households you can each join the Zoom, but you will need to designate one team member to answer through Mentimeter. This means you may have to call or Whatsapp to talk tactics.

Raffle tickets will be £5 for a strip of five tickets, once purchased you will be allocated your numbers and then the draw will be held towards the end of the quiz on the night. Prizes can be delivered within Guildford, or posted if under a certain weight.
