Since 1984 The Brigitte Trust has been dedicated to supporting individuals and their families facing terminal conditions, enhancing quality of life through practical and emotional help.
It believes that everyone has the right to live well beyond diagnosis and to make the most of their time, no matter the outcome.
It offers a range of free services for adults living with a terminal illness in the Surrey area, facing the challenges of conditions such as cancer, motor neurone disease and end-stage organ failure.
One of its services are its Farewell Cafés, with one being held at Jacobs Well Village Hall, Guildford, on Wednesday, May 21, from 11am to 12.30pm.
The Brigitte Trust says: “Death is an inevitable part of life, yet most of us find it a very difficult topic to talk about.
“We want to normalise the conversation and help lead the discussion by providing an safe and informal space to talk about your thoughts and feelings around death and dying.
“Our Farewell Cafés are free and open to anyone, to speak freely without judgement. There is no set agenda- just facilitated discussion following the interests of those attending. Come along and join the conversation!”
